This short story (afsana) 15 August is written by Umera Ahmed. Its one of my favorite writings. I really like it.
This story is from her book, called "Main Ne Khabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai", along with 3 or 4 other good stories.
This story was also dramatized with the title "Muthi Bhar Matti".
